The name means something like “Ship from Realmgard” and the design is based on Early Modern depictions of Argo Navis, an old constellation itself based on the Argo, as in “Jason and the Argonauts.”

In modern astronomy, the constellation no longer exists; instead, it’s been broken up into three, separate, smaller constellations, all of which are, incidentally, still related to the various parts of a ship.

Not a whole lot to say about this picture.

I just figured that a map that’s at least 40% water probably needed a picture of a boat — technically a “ship“; apologies to anyone passionate about that particular distinction.

And, yeah, why wouldn’t I base a drawing on drawings of a constellation modern astronomy has deemed obsolete?
