
In anticipation of the imminent (i.e. next couple weeks) re-release of The Bandits of Goldharbour, here’s a new version of the Goldharbour flag.
Some part of that flag (probably the gryphons) is going to be re-purposed for the new cover art.
Basically, this one features better drawings and a colour scheme with more contrast.
There aren’t many white-and-yellow flags in real life (with a couple of notable — and deliberate — exceptions). Looking at the original Goldharbour flag, the reason should be obvious:

Basically, it’s hard to see white on yellow or yellow on white. In fact, putting them together violates the rules of heraldry.
In addition to being drawn by a better, more experienced artist, the fact that everything on the new flag has an outline just generally makes the whole thing easier on the eye.
