The State of Realmgard in 2025

Most major takeaway: I am going to be delisting all of the current versions of my books on February 1.

To recap, Realmgard has more or less been on hiatus since December. That’s in part to facilitate more behind the scenes stuff and production of new content (more on that later), but also partly because I’ve been focusing on starting up my new business, Emona Literary Services.TM

Those two plotlines are going to be intersecting before too long (more on that later, too).

Now that I have a better sense of what’s ahead and what I actually need to get down, I’m providing some updates on what my plan is short-term and for the rest of 2025 and beyond.

The most significant thing is that I am going to be delisting all of the current versions of my books on February 1 from Amazon and Smashwords. They won’t be gone forever and I will be re-printing them through Emona Literary Services.TM

That means you’re getting closer to your last chance to purchase these original versions of the Realmgard stories published up to now, so consider checking them out:

Related to that, I’m going to be setting up a Patreon page, which will be the first place the new digital versions and forthcoming audio versions of my stories will be going live once they’re ready.

My plan for 2025 is to have at least Fryte’s Gold, The Treasure of Oake Island, and the Bandits of Goldharbour republished and released as audiobooks through the rest of 2025.

After launching on my Patreon, my books will eventually return to Smashwords and Amazon and be reposted right here—

Stay tuned for more news about that as I have more things to report.

This is less concrete, but I’m also becoming increasingly frustrated with the state of this website. I’m probably not going to be doing anything drastic like completely shut down or change hosts, but the more I think about it, the closer I am to deciding that basically just rebooting the whole thing is the right thing to do.

Now, that’s not going to happen without notice and, at most, all that’s going to happen is that the website is going to go dark for a bit, before I relaunch and start to reintroduce most of my previous content — mainly my Recommendations, Music posts, Encyclopedia Realmgardica, and chapters (though, again, only after the actual story content has been posted to Patreon first).

Finally, in terms of the best ways to stay up-to-date with what I’m doing, especially as some important stuff (as stated about) is going to be happening before too long, you can still follow me through my various Realmgard social media channels:

But I’ve also started prioritising my Emona Literary socials and I’m comparatively more active on those channels. They’ve all been compiled on my Linktree page:
