Founded by the adventurer Sir Theophrastus Lyte, the Lyte Brigade was previously one of the most prominent adventuring guilds operating out of Porthaven.

Under the Theophrastus and eventually his son Theophilius, the Lyte Brigade quickly rose in both size and reputation. For six decades, the Lyte Brigade had a track record of impeccable success. Notably, in that time, the guild won at total of 82 awards at the Guild Authority of Porthaven’s annual awards, acknowledging the accomplishments of both the Lyte Brigade as a whole and its individual members.

However, in recent years, the Lyte Brigade has become functionally disbanded, with most of its senior leadership retiring and its other members transferring to other guilds. Due to the nature of the Lyte Brigade’s charter, its Captaincy is required to be held by a member of the Lyte family. Until recently, there was no member of the family willing to take over the leadership of the guild after the retirement of Theophilius.

Having recently qualified for his adventuring licence, Theophilius’ grandson Nolan has taken over leadership of the Lyte Brigade and has begun his attempt to restore the fortunes and reputation of the guild, beginning with recruiting its first batch of new members.
