Patreon-Exclusive Short Scene: Cold Season in Porthaven

Amara points across the room with an accusing finger.

“The chaise is plotting against me.”

Her finger moves to accuse the next piece of furniture.

“The lamp is laughing at me. And —”

Her finger falls upon the last inanimate object that’s apparently out to get her.

“— that shelf has been calling me fat!”

There’s a bit of a bad cold going around Porthaven and Amara has been laid up for the past few days, so Kat has decided to check in on her.

“Oh, sweet, faithful Katherine!” Amara exclaims from under a pile of blankets. “Loyalest of loyal friends. I knew you’d come and deliver in my time of need.”

“Uh huh,” Kat says sceptically.

“It’s terrible, Katherine!” Amara cries. “This room is going to be the end of me.”
