The island off the northeastern mainland of Realmgard is known by a name which in the local language means "Frost Mane", most likely a reference to the sight of blown snow billowing off the island's numerous mountains.

Natalis
Though there remains little prospect of a reunification of Natalis, many of its independent states and cities have begun to thrive economically and culturally in recent centuries as they have established extensive trade networks both throughout Realmgard and across continents. Natalis is once again considered a flourishing centre of art, culture, and learning.

For the first time in its history, most of Realmgard was unified under a single authority. Only the extreme north and northwest of the continent would remain beyond Imperial control.
