Going back over my May encyclopedias as I compile them onto the master list of Encyclopedia entries, I’ve realised I’m not very happy with my first attempt at Jimena.
I was inspired to try again and I’m pleased that she’s better now:
The challenge continues to be making her like kinda-sorta like Kat (which is intentional — she’s supposed to be Dunstana‘s Big Sister-esque first mate) without making her look just like Kat in a pirate outfit.
It helps that they have differently-shaped faces — which will be something to lean into when I get better at making my characters look different on purpose. I think that I need to better differentiate their hair, skin, and eye colour.
But for now, at least she’s still a better Jimena.
