Writing Every Day in August

Note to self: next quarter, do this during a month with 30 days.

Now, this is potentially an ill-advised decision, not least of all because I’ll be at a cottage with week and I’m sure not how much quality writing time I’ll be getting (though I will have Internet access, so that won’t be the problem).

But, hey, if there’s one thing I excel at, it’s making things harder for myself than they need to be.

I’ve been trying to do one of these month-long daily writing exercises every quarter of the year. I’m not sure if that’s going to be true of every year, but I at least want to do it that way for 2022.

I could hold off until September, but I’m really hoping I’ll be working full-time by then and that will be a bigger impediment to writing than cottage week.

So, here we go, a new short story every day in August!

The month’s first scene is here:

And, incidentally, my previous month-long daily writing challenges are available here:

For those of you unfamiliar with Pro Wrestling, this is referred to as a “cheap pop.”
