“You know,” Alda says, tracking the Gyrfalcon’s acrobatic path through the air as she, Roland, and Apolline stand on the grounding gazing up and watching. “I think she’s getting better.”
“Oh?” Apolline asks.
Alda nods. “Yeah. Last time she practiced flying the Gyrfalcon, she screamed biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiird for a count of ten. This time, I only counted three – it was more of a biiiiird.”
“Hmm,” Apolline says thoughtfully. “I guess Petra’s lessons are helping her.”
Roland nods. “Let’s have chicken for supper tonight,” he mutters.
Alda and Apolline just stare at the muscular alchemist.
