Yeah, I’m not really sure where I was going with this one.
Though I will say, I do like the dialogue even if there isn’t really much of a premise…
Meanwhile, Amara and Nolan are hiding behind their own corner. Normally, Nolan would be feeling feelings to find himself so close to Amara.
She smells nice…
“So,” Nolan ventures. “Why are we sneaking into a pirate base?”
“Because, Nolan,” Amara explains. “Katherine and Dunstana were hired by Captain Goblinbeard’s daughter to steal back the Captain’s favourite illustrated guide to Pelayan porcelain that these pirates stole from him… for reasons that I admit elude me.”
“Goblinbeard,” Nolan mutters, trying to visual him. “Is he the Elf with the pirate who keeps swearing at me?”
“No, Nolan,” Amara sighs. “Captain Goblinbeard is not an Elf.”
“Oh, yeah!” Nolan says as the realisation hits him. “Him! He doesn’t even have a beard!”
“Not the time, Nolan,” Amara mutters.
“R-right,” Nolan says, coughing into his elbow. “Don’t worry, I have a plan.”
With that, he leaps out from around the corner.
