“Gaah!” Dunstana cries as a hulking, shaggy green figure bursts out from behind the foilage of the swamp – or marsh. Or whatever. “It’s the Moss-Man of Marshedy Marsh!”
True to his name, the Moss-Man looming huge and green and mossy above Kat, Dunstana, and Amara, arms above his face, bellowing in what Kat soon realises is not fearsome I’m-going-to-eat-you-ness, but shock and surprise to match their own.
“Do, uh, do we get him now?” Dunstana asks, slowly reaching for her wooden sword.
“Didn’t you hear him?” Kat asks.
