Hrimfax
The island off the northeastern mainland of Realmgard is known by a name which in the local language means "Frost Mane", most likely a reference to the sight of blown snow billowing off the island's numerous mountains.
Natalis
Though there remains little prospect of a reunification of Natalis, many of its independent states and cities have begun to thrive economically and culturally in recent centuries as they have established extensive trade networks both throughout Realmgard and across continents. Natalis is once again considered a flourishing centre of art, culture, and learning.
The Elven Empire
For the first time in its history, most of Realmgard was unified under a single authority. Only the extreme north and northwest of the continent would remain beyond Imperial control.
The Powers
At their most basic, the Powers are understood by the philosophers and magicologists of Realmgard to be the underlying reality of the cosmos. Simply put, the Powers are the essence of worldly things. However, interpretations vary from that starting point.
The Distant Verdant Star
Notably, there is a green star visible in the night skies of Terrace. In fact, that this green star is visible from any point of Terrace and does not seem to move across the sky like the other stars has led to the recognition that it is clearly of supernatural origin.
The Continent of Realmgard
In general, for geographic and cartographic purposes, Realmgard is viewed as being the “middle” of the world of Terrace — due in part to the existence of other continents to Realmgard’s east and south.
The World of Terrace
The origins of the name are the subject of some debate. The most common, though by no means universal, explanation is that 'Terrace' is likely a corruption of the Elven 'Terra est', meaning 'it is the world.'

Commonly known — both poetically and disparagingly — by the Elven term "equus acutis", meaning something like "pointy horse", unicorns are indeed that.

Due in part to this connection between the name of the continent and its inhabitants, the term Gardian is sometimes used to refer to any inhabitant of Realmgard regardless of their place of origin within the continent. And the Gardians are often viewed as the "default" inhabitants of Realmgard.
