His reputation as a tragedian whose works inevitably end with everyone dying is somewhat unfair — he has also written several comedies where everyone dies.

An amateur scholar, Alfstan was written a number books and dabbling in writing plays, along with several books of Magicology, two political treatises a biography of the famous wizard Brorvonius, and a well-regarded book of jam recipes.

Perhaps the most famous woman in Realmgard, the reigning Duchess of Tanith is respected by the other rulers of Realmgard and venerated as the living incarnation of the patron goddess of Tanith.

That the current Prince of Porthaven is a woman passes largely without comment. It is generally understand that the word derives from the Ancient Elven title Princeps, which simply means "leader" and is gender-neutral. Prince Johanna is the fifth female Prince to rule the city of Porthaven.
