“Behold!” Tenebella declares, presenting the bookshelves with a flourish of her arm. “My lore!”
“Gosh,” Egeria mutters. “I ain’t never seen so many pages before! Not even when Paige an’ me was touring the Gallery o’ a Thousand Mirrors in Valico!”
She glances over to her bodyguard.
“’Member that, Paige?”
Paige nods. She hated that place. She kept walking into mirrors that she thought were open doorways.
“Oh, yes,” Tenebella says, blushing proudly. “You are right to be amazed. I own one of the largest private libraries on the entire continent.”
