“Okay, guys,” Dunstana says to the two assembled crews, pointing at the chalkboard with her fancy Pointing Stick. “This…”

And she thwacks the board with her Pointing Stick, and then has to resist the urge to give it a couple more thwacks because she loves the sound it makes.

“… is Captain Goblinford.”

“Well,” she notes. “It’s not really him. It’s just a drawing. And the, um, the real one has five fingers on each hand…”

She turns to her crew.

“Hands are really hard to draw, guys!”

The members of both pirate crews murmur in agreement.

“But, like, I am so glad he doesn’t ride around on a horse.”

Several of the closest pirates duck as she swings her Pointing Stick in a wide arc.

“And that is Captain Goblinbeard.”

She gravely eyes her pirates.

“Know the difference, people.”
